The Big Hurst: I hate rooting for the Rangers, and even having to pay attention to the Angels, but that's fantasy baseball. This is our last day, right, or is there some sort of playoffs minigame?

The Big Hurst: September baseball prediction gets weird. The teams aren't acting rationally anymore. Or at least not within the boundaries of the regular season. None of our pitchers went more than 80-something pitches, because they were all short-leashed. Meanwhile, my opinion is that the "playoffs" in American sports culture are just exhibition, so congratulations to the Boston Red Sox and the St. Louis Cardinals. Tied with 97 wins, these were the best teams from both leagues in 2013. In my mind, that's the MLB championship. Everything else is just a "cup".
